This trail forms the continuation of the Duluth Traverse Spine traill through Hartley Park. It is one of the few sections where the Duluth Traverse and the Superior Hiking Trail share a route. Because of this, hikers often don't expect to encounter bikers.
It is a fun little stretch of trail. Some bedrock and roots add interest and cedars add scenery.
