Sir Lance Alot starts at the bottom of a drainage, so expect mud, standing water and wet trail conditions (almost making it impassable) in the winter and wet season. Please avoid this trail if muddy
Once trail dries and out, it's a fun trail to connect the outer system to the top. Or try descending down Bootlegger, to Upper & Lower Captain Blacklock all the way down to the bottom of Dirty Dishes. The trail is gorgeous at the higher elevation as it flows and winds through a beautiful drainage with large trees and chirping birds.
