Slingshot is the newest trail at Oak Mountain State Park opened on May 6th, 2021. This trail was funded by BUMP thanks to generous donations, and successful fundraisers. It is a 3 mile trail that now allows trail users to bypass the gravel Camp Road between Seven Bridges and Garretts Gulch. it is a multidirectional trail. Your climbing is rewarded with fun and playful trail features, flowing downhill sections with split options, and an awesome 40 foot log ride area with a bench. Riding from Garretts Gulch is a little more fast and flowing. Coming from Seven Bridges going up to Garretts has more sustained climbing but still rewards with fun downhill sections.
