A 32km out and back ride into the Wilmore Wilderness Provincial Park. The trail parallels the Smokey River to the Muddywater River. The Muddywater can be crossed at very low flows but involves great personal risk of drowning in a cold fast river. The trail is a mixture of double and single track. Be prepared for 900 meters of climbing. There is no cellphone coverage. Be prepared for whatever you may encounter as you are not likely to meet anyone on the trail outside of sheep hunting season.

Access Info

The trailhead is located at the Sluphur Gates Staging Area off highway 40 5km north of Grande Cache.
