Very unique loop best ridden counter clockwise. The low side of the loop includes awesome progressive benched trail dipping down near the water of the old Annapolis reservoir. The upper side of the loop follows the fence of the largest solar project located on a landfill in the United States, which offers dramatic views of the topography below.
Access Info
To enter the loop from the Defense Highway parking lot, look for the stepping stone crossing across the creek that runs from the spillway of the reservoir dam, about 100 feet down the creek from the dam. DO NOT PARK IN THE DEFENSE HIGHWAY PARKING LOT TO ACCES THE TRAIL. PLEASE PARK AT THE HOUSLEY ROAD TRAILHEAD AND ENTER FROM THERE.
