An alternative to Poleta Canyon, that drops steeply through a narrow gully, with talus wall rides and fun rocks.

Access Info

Heading toward Poleta Canyon across Poleta Flat look for a faint old road off to the left with a downed log, just after a 90 degree turn to the north (right). The trail up top can be hard to follow, but heads out to the top a ridge, and then steeply off to the right.

Good to go! Apparently South Branch was spared by the floods. A little bit of extra chunder up top, but it's usually pretty darn chundery there...

Trail starts out as a bit of double track, then turns into single track. 1st part of the trail is a bit hard to follow, if there are no tire tracks I would consult the app. Once you drop into the canyon the trail is easy to follow. Towards the bottom you got continuous speed with fast wall rides and loose scree to surf. Posted a video of the trail in the video TAB.
