This little connector allows those heading down South Castle to easily butt out and switch over to the Trans Canada Trail (2) for a single track-heaven ride back to town. There are quite a few yellow signs on the trees at this junction. The trail itself is of no real consequence - a 100m of single track that is easy riding, but the options are awesome - miss out the lower bit of South Castle with its dilemmas at the bottom (ride back on Cokato? ride up "furious" hill on River Road to hook back into Montane?) and shred some sweet single track back into Montane. We should all thank the Trans Canada crew for the sweetness their new trail offers Fernie bikers...
