South Faulty borders on blue and black on its difficulty, but I gave it black, basically because of the climbing difficulty and length. There are some really tough sections that can be very challenging and tough to not hike. The further south you get, past Armijo, you have to start watching out because it gets harder to stay out of wilderness areas. Trails you might take to the north from Faulty will be wilderness, so no bikes allowed. For bikers, it's probably best to stay north of Armijo on Faulty, but there's still some good stuff down here if you want to do an out and back.
