From the Alpine trail,Trail breaks left/west and maintains a moderate, steady decline for 6 miles through primarily high alpine meadows and avalanche shoots. Trail is historically very overgrown making it difficult to see any obstacles on the ground making it challenging. If it were better maintained, you could probably rip down the trail pretty well as there were not any major obstacles save a creek crossing toward the end.

Access Info

Breaks west off Alpine 7 about 0.5 miles north of where Napa Point Trail hits Alpine 7. Look for the trail signs.

From Hwy 83 turn East onto FS#680 Follow to the end. Trail is on the left before the bridge.

As of 7/24/17 the trail was very overgrown. Still passable but was so thick we were riding blind as to ground obstacles for much of the way so had to take it slow and still went over the handlebars more than once. That said, beautiful country and not another soul in sight.

As of 7/26/18 the trail was very overgrown for most of the way. It also has quite a few downed trees over the trail in the upper part. At this point, I am not sure that it is really a trail anymore as you don't even see the trail for 2/3rd's of the ride. But the views are really spectacular, and there is not anyone else in sight.
