This trail wanders through old growth forest and crosses the South Fork Skokomish River and other streams several times before reaching an old avalanche chute at approximately 1.8 miles. The trail then begins to climb up the canyon above the Skokomish River Valley.

This trail is gradual to steep. It travels 4.9 miles to the park boundary. As of June 2018, you may not ride your bicycle into the wilderness or Olympic National Park beyond 4.9 miles. Respect signage if it differs from this instruction.

Access Info

The road is closed to motor vehicles 5 miles prior to reaching the trailhead between Oct. 1st and April 30th due to a wildlife closure.

Disclaimer

A valid Recreation Pass is required at the trailhead. Day & Annual Passes are available at FS offices and vendors, but not available at trailheads.
