The South Mesa can be accessed from Hwy 90 in the East Paradox Valley from the Gasline Trail less than one half mile from the highway. Take the first right and climb steadily the short distance to the mesa top. The trail will continue north and east through the pinion and juniper stands found on the mesa until coming to the South Mesa Top Trail.
