An old trail built on a fall line, rutted, steep, and a bit technical this can be a fun alternative to the short section of Eadsville that parallels it.
From Wyoming Boulevard (Wyoming Highway 25 travel south on Casper Mountain Road (Wyoming Highway 251) for approximately 5 miles. Stay left at the fork and continue on 251 for another 1.5 miles where you will find two consecutive parking area’s to the left. The “Upper Lot” has a large wooden lodge adjacent to the north side of the lot, the “Lower Lot” has a small warming hut, an outhouse, and in the summer is the entrance to Strube Loop Road. Trail heads can be found at either lot with trails connecting the two.
