Relatively short by Golfie standards but still a tough trail to master.

It starts off with a steep entry from the fire road, which will test your brakes and tyres ability to keep your speed under control. There is a slightly easier entry to the left of the main entry but it's only marginally easier. Once into the trail proper, it flows through the trees, dropping and rising, before spitting you out onto the side of the hill. Normally this wouldn't seem too technical but the side of this hill is covered in scree so as you try to keep to the worn line, it feels like you have a distinct lack of control. Just as you get the bike under control the trail dives down towards the first of 2 burn crossings.
Now that you are back into the forest, the trail twists and turns with a couple of tight squeezes between the trees. Speed is your friend here as there are quite a few tree roots just waiting to kick your tyre out. A drop out to the valley floor sees you cross the burn for a second time and now its time for the fast blast towards the finish.

Sounds easy huh? Wink
