This tour takes bikers to another world. Quiet and almost mysterious, the Niedersurenen valley leads the Engelberger Aa along Surenenpass. Always the massive Spannorten with their special shape in mind.

Engelberg station is the starting point of the Engelberg-Stäfeli tour. It starts in the direction Engelbergerstrasse on which one turns left at the junction. You drive on the first piece on this, past the Sportingpark and the monastery. At the second road junction keep right and turn onto Oberbergstrasse. Still flat and on tar you cycle through between the last houses of Engelberg. When the houses end up, the surface changes to gravel and the path becomes a bit narrower. In quiet behavior, you hear a noise from afar, in addition to the driving noise, that is slowly roaring. It comes from the waterfall, which gives the name of the restaurant on the right side of the road. Past the valley station of the Führalpbahn, you will initially drive on a tarred road. Soon the road climbs and it's done with comfortable pedals. The valley becomes narrower and after 1.5km the road forks and becomes a natural road. If it were not for the noise of Engelberger Aa, the river that accompanies you all the way, it would be almost incredibly quiet. The restaurant Alpenrösli, which is covered by firs, is as if it were called - here a stop is recommended. Not only because the Bergeizli is known for its rösti and good desserts. Also you should relax your legs before the last, short but steep ascent to Stäfeli, the intermediate destination of the route. Rested then take the last stage under the wheels. With the imposing tension words in mind, the somewhat rough gravel and the steep road demand a lot. Arrived at the mountain restaurant Stäfeli, the cozy terrace awaits you. Back to Engelberg it goes on the other side of the river. Peddle once more and then it all goes back along the water to the village. The path crossed by roots is technically more demanding than the way out but easy to drive. Only when crossing the small glacial streams you have to get off the bike. Shortly before the valley station Fürenalp, the path turns back into the tarred road and leads back over the waterfall road to the starting point of the tour.
