This is the official Stanford Rock Trail route as of October, 2019. TAMBA has built over 4 miles of new re-routes on Stanford Rock. Stanford Rock is being re-routed from legacy logging road to flowy new generation bike optimized singletrack. The views are stellar. It's gone from steep, rocky logging road to bermy, flowy goodness with some optional lines, It's an entirely new trail TAMBA will be continuing construction until the snow flies and in 2020.

All of the worst sections of old logging road are now gorgeous singletrack. Stanford Rock Trail also now goes to Stanford Rock Summit. Massive panoramic views from the top with some summit surprises!

Access Info

The best access is from the Hwy 89 Bike path. There are multiple entrances from Hwy 89. The Ward Creek crossing can be dangerous in high snow years. Start your ride with a mellow 10-15 minute singletrack warm up before the climb instead of wet feet from the Ward Creek crossing.

The TAMBA trail work has been outstanding. I can honestly say I have never enjoyed a 2000' climb more than this one, and the descent was world class. I have to admit I am glad that you can't shuttle this--there are no braking bumps and the dust is no problem.

There’s one of the biggest sugar pines I’ve ever seen about 1/4 of the way up. Keep an eye out!

The log ride is awesome! The rest of the trail is fun, but nothing too exceptional. Really great views at the top, and great trail for a variety of skill levels.

Generally a very steep climb. They’ve done a great job building some cool berms and flow trail on the lower half after the initial steep climb. Great views of the lake from the top.
