From Col de la Forclaz, enjoy the view then drop into the forest. The first section is steep and rocky with a few tight switchbacks. It then opens up into some great single track through the forest with steep drops off to the side. The middle section is super-fast with a nice trail and trees whizzing by on each side (hence the Star Wars name). The last few hundred meters is rocky and a bit more technical.

It's more of a walkers path that traverses the hillside, technical start with tight corners, it gets narrow in a few places and exposed to very steep drops. The second half is a bit more enjoyable but I kept looking at the steep gullies going off this and was hoping to see some nice lines going down the hill side rather than traversing it. Rocky bit at the end was quite nice

Great trail and worth the road climb up! Rocky and narrow traverse for first half. Equivalent to UK black.

Start is pretty technical, and most of the top half is a bit intimidating because it is narrow and cut into a pretty steep hill, so you have to work on not looking down and just ride. The lower half is really fun and less scary. Final verdict: Fun challenging trail!

Some people say the French trail rating system is harder than the English, will this be suitable for a capable 14 year old and his 50 year old dad?

Where do you park for this trail network, and how do you get back up the top of this trail, please?

The beginning may look daunting but after the first section the trail opens up to a flowy singletrack
