The first half of this trail really lives up to its name! You drop in down a fairly steep slope with a branch to duck along the way. Then you run down a fairly tight track in parts. There is a hedge to get over with an immediate right turn. There is another very low, very big branch to get under and then a thin line past a tree of a slope to navigate. Plenty of technical work to do, but also the scope to attack sections with some pace.

You then join the top path within Illogan Woods. This is more straight forward downhill trailing with a choice of line to take. It contains some roots and rocks, but not much in the way of possible air. The trail ends at the main path into Portreath, at the end of the Illogan Woods Main Line.

This trail gets wet quickly and takes quite a time to dry out. Still worth having a crack at, even when a little wet!
