Por este sendero poco marcado se sube, directamente, desde el primer monolito (ruta 13) a la cumbre del Vizcacha.
La mayor parte hay que hacerlo con la bici al hombro. Algunos tramos de la subida, hacia la mitad del ascenso y el último tramo, son pedaleables.
Al llegar a la cumbre del cerro Vizcacha se disfruta de una espectacular vista panorámica de toda la subida de la ruta 13, el cordón del Gateado, el cerro Arco y, del otro lado de la Quebrada del Durazno, el cerro Áspero.
Lo de subida "de las avispas" viene porque el día que lo trackeamos en la cumbre había un molesto enjambre de avispas tratando de formar nido.
