A somewhat technical singletrack trail from the upper parking area down to Shelters 5 & 6, Sulphur Springs delivers speed, nicely banked switchbacks, a couple of decent drops and lots of small jumps. The upper lot to the Kanuga / Firetower intersection is a wide rooty (retired) access road that's fun to descend after exploring the northernmost trails at PMSP.

As I ride this trail, I see the erosion increasing making it more difficult to climb. Some drainage and repairs will be welcomed.

Great trail just way to many hikers and they just stand in the middle of the trail.

It’s the highlight of PMSP. A really fun, fast, flowy downhill (please don’t be awkward and go up it - use the road). Expect to meet some walkers at the weekend but most know to step off the trail. Nothing gnarly - trail full sussers even hardtails can shred it since they took out the big rock drops a few years ago.

Riders: STOP riding up this trail on south slope! Take the road up & drop down - its already choked w/ clueless hikers slowing down any attempts at speed. The Park should make the flow trail drop bike only & build another up/down trail just for hikers so riders can have a single short section - basically built for bikes anyway - for bikes. Is that too much to ask?

Have you created a route for the path you are talking about? You could link in the description and hopefully direct riders to it. Smile

You said "take the road up" and go down the trail. I am assuming the road is not the trail?

The road is the main / only park road that goes up to the SS trailheads (top & midpoint) - its obvious on the map (but I'm daydreaming anyway to think there's gonna just be a bike-only path there or that it would be designated as DH only)

Ya, I noticed the park website lists this trail as hike only. So unlikely it will be bike only.
