Fun, but difficult and technical at times. Entry from Rock Run Rd. is a not-so-easy water crossing about 50 ft. from the road, followed by a steep and rooty climb. You are eventually rewarded on a sweet roller coaster but technical downhill run to the Deer Creek Picnic Area. There is a mid-point entry to this segment of the Red Trail from the Farm Road (Blue) and Ivy Branch (Orange) Trails that gives you a downhill option in either direction.
