Swine Flu Details
One of the most fun ups and downs in the valley, accessed via "Swine Up New" followed by a very hard grunt up Far Side until you join the original Swine Flu climb. Shouldn’t take much more than 1.5 hours, but it will feel like you did a lot more, all sorts of terrain, switchbacks, little steeps to challenge you on the up, a couple of steeper corners on the downs, but really fun rolling terrain and a great view form the top. Be respectful to any cows you encounter. No Dogs.
The second half of the climb, from Mad Cow, is designated black as it becomes more technical and steeper above this point. Sharp switchbacks and a couple of steep pitches immediately after the pig.
A bench and beautiful views await those who make it to the top.
