The Paparoa. The first great walk to also allow MTB.

Recommended riding direction is from Blackball through to Punakaiki. Trail climbs on an old pack trail to Ces Clark Hut (10KM) at the bush line. This section is a steady Grade 4 (Advanced) climb. From Ces Clark there is another 10km of rolling scenic alpine terrain to Moonlight Hut. All the hard work is done and you are rewarded with spectacular views and rock formations of the beautful Paparoa National Park.

This trail is rated Grade 4, however once you get past Ces Clark Hut heading north it is all about Grade 3 (Intermediate)
Trail is multi use, please respect other users on the trail.
Huts can be booked on the DoC website for overnight stays.
