This 2 way trail was part of the 'old' Veluwezoom MTB Route and has the right characteristics for the Veluwezoom area: it has some nice root segments and a few loose off-camber corners or two to keep you on your toes. It also has some nice, leg-busting, lung-bursting short interval climbs.

It is best ridden West to East and starts just above the iconic wooden bridge. From there it crosses the bridge and winds its way through the Rozenbos down to the bottom of the southern face of the Veluwezoom park. After skimming past the bottom of the Holleweg, it then climbs back up to the first plateau of the Veluwezoom hills above De Steeg. After another long descend, it climbs a rocky road (also fun to descend) to the Lappendeken Parking/Play area and then follows the bicycle path all the way to the Fortune Cookie trail.
