The track starts off rocky but clear and marked, but after a while it begins to get less obvious. Multiple tracks split off from each other and are covered in pine needles. We ended up having to bash through bush to get to the road [which was about 150m away] with our bikes. Came out all scratched! Also it is hard to find. There is no signage where to find it so you need a phone with gps so you can know where to turn off the forestry road to get there. It is not impossible to find without a gps, but once you are on it it is easy to get lost.

Trail signs are going in right through Whare Flat. We did most of Snakes n Ladders last Monday night and hope to smash out most of 3 Little Pigs etc next monday night, then everything should be clear and easy to follow.

Make sure you have GPS with you. The tracks in the pine forest are very hard to follow due to being covered in pine needles. Pretty ho hum. No flow

Extreme caution required as a gap jump has been made to cross the trail creating an obvious hazard to trail users. It is just before the climb up to Bacon Extract junction. As a blind crossing to both riders there will be little warning of impending incident. With so much hill up there one has to ask why such a well made trail had to cross and existing trail so dangerously

I tend to agree however please be aware that this feature has now been removed. Also worth noting the landing and continuation of the new trail on the other side of Three Pigs is blocked and never been opened up. Some great building going on in this area by keen volunteers.
