This is an alternative route to link into the Mountain Lakes Trail. It is definitely the trail less-travelled, and can be hard to follow. A stunning climb, emerging from the forest into the Alpine. Expect snow until the heat of the summer gets in there. No cell signal in this area, and a number of rescues have been required for folk on this trail due to getting lost.
