Opened late December, 2011, this trail is likely to be one of the best on the hill.
Starts at the very top of Tawa (take the Tuhoto entrance and Te Tihi o Tawa branches to the right about 50m in), finishes via a link into the bottom of Billy T. Designed to be a Grade 3 for lesser mortals who like flow and not roots. It will get wet and very sticky in the rain due to being built in native bush and be more of a Grade 4.
This trail is in place thanks to Tuhourangi and the Department of Conservation particularly Simon Alefosio-Tuck.

This is a G4 trail by any definition and should be labelled as such. It’s a bit rich that Whaki ‘G3’ and this trail have the same grading. What’s the point if trails aren’t graded properly?

Great ride, it's a 3-4 grade but very manageable if you take care. There is a rooted section but not to hard
