This trail breaks off of the Timpooneke Trail (053) at Timpanogos Basin and heads to the saddle. From the saddle you can see over to the front of the mountain. There are nice flat rocks to sit and take a break and enjoy the view. This is a common turning point if you don't want to go all the way to the summit. If you want to continue, the trails is kind of just a nice walk along packed down rocks. There are some little difficult sections where it traverses up the ridge.

Note that once you get this high up it is pretty much always cold. It can be scorching hot in the valley but cold and windy past the saddle. And it only gets more cold and windy as you get to the summit. There is a cool little metal shelter at the summit, but it is always cold.

This trail actually continues past the summit to the top of the glacier. In the past the glacier was always there all year, but with some recent bad snow years, you cannot always count on the glacier to be there. But when it is, you can descend to Emerald Lake by sliding down the mountain.
