A big ride into the Jasper back country which should not be taken lightly. This route is very committing and takes you into the wilderness, far from help in the kind of place where an outing can quickly turn into an epic. The route follows the Tonquin Valley trail until it meets the Astoria river then follows the river to its source at Amethyst Lake.
