This is a really nice trail with some excellent scenery from the views all along the top of the Torbay Bluffs.

From Tapper's Cove, there's a portage uphill to start the trail.

The first section of trail is largely rolling quad-bike track and wide straight trail. There some wet sections but most of the trail is rideable. The terrain pitches up and down, but the trend overall is a subtle climb.

There is a side trail east of the main trail at Church Cove which is a very technical downhill going north (most sections almost impossible), and not recommended as an uphill (heading south). The western main trail is quite a bit easier.

You will come to a rocky point that has a spectacular, near 360 degree view. The trail almost doubles back at the point (watch for the turn), and it heads steeply uphill (if you're heading north). From this point, the rest of the trail changes character, and there will be lots of rocky gnar and slick rock, the difficulty being closer to black diamond for the rest of the way. If you are in the mood for a mellow ride, turn back here.

The final stretch is really amazing. World class scenery with incredible terrain. The trail is braided and there are lots of interesting rock features to try out. With careful line choice you can find some real speed here, but the exposure and surroundings make it hard to focus. You will travel along the spine of a ridge. Eventually, the trees thin out and you will get a view of flat rock village to the left (and a bit behind you).

The main trail is joined and paralleled by ribbons of informal hiking paths. The "main" line here becomes vague and starts fading out the farther you go along the point at flat rock, and it becomes a case of traveling cross country and exploring. Watch out for the steep drops that often have blind approaches.

The return is back the way you came.
