Toxic Tea Cup Details
TTC is a short flow trail with lots of mid-sized hits and is highly recommended. The top half is less interesting with the trail simply flowing through the woods next to what was to be a golf course.
The bottom half is all action starting with a small, well built, wood-to-wood drop that is appropriate for newbies moving up into the intermediate realm. This is followed by another good wood drop (less than 1m) that hucks to flat. Nice clear approach to a flat landing. There is also a dirt-to-dirt option that boosts off a log to the left of the ride-around. This is followed by a bunch of nice booters off of roots and bumps that you can get some short air off of. The largest wood-to-wood drop follows (about 1m). It is definitely well built, but not one of my faves. The approach comes off a quick little turn. If you come in hot, are a bit off line, and try to correct on the wooden take-off when it is wet – there is a good chance for slips, slides, and slams. There are a bunch of alternatives to the right of the wood drop including a dirt drop or a ride-around trail. A fairly large (expert level) creek gap follows next, if you can keep your speed and pop off the lip, you are rewarded with a flat landing with a few exposed few roots that makes it very interesting. There are a couple of ride-around options. The trail ends with a short, low ladder bridge that is falling into disrepair (two rungs missing Nov 2016) just before connecting up to the fire road. Resurrection connects up just before the fire road.
