A decidedly back country feel to this section; somewhat overgrown, exciting creek crossings, minimal trail maintenance. A good ride for someone looking for a techy remote adventure with several places to stop and take in the stunning scenery. Stop and poke around the old work camp midway and check out a bit of history.
The bridge has washed out at Simon Creek, it is not possible to continue further along Athabasca pass from that point without personal watercraft.
