Open, mildly technical trail leads to the Lower Fryatt Campground, cycling is not permitted past this point but the trail continues ~12km further up in to the Fryatt valley. Riding in to this point is a great option to shorten your hike into the valley or as a overnight bikepacking trip.

Access Info

From Jasper drive south on Hwy 93 to Athabasca falls, turn right onto Hwy 93a and just past the falls turn south onto the Geraldine Fire Road. A short drive up the road will bring you to the Fryatt Valley trailhead.

Disclaimer

There is a seasonal winter closer on the Geraldine Fire road. Check with the Jasper Information Centre to determine status.

A few trees done across the trail. A little wet in some spots but overall in great condition. Fun ride!

Definitely more fun to ride this than hike. In good condition, just a few trees down. Watch out for bears and cougars!

Great backcountry trail! A little up, a little down and some surprisingly flowy sections to balance out the annoyingly rocky/rooty sections. Mostly in the forest but an amazing view when you get to the lookout. The campsite is pretty cool too. I will definitely ride this trail again.

Very nice trail, few technical bits. Did a bikepacking trip last week, trail has few watery bits and dead trees. Pulled my son in his chariot, bit narrow in bits for chariot but do able.
