Riding clockwise, the loop starts with a gradual climb from Cabin Creek all the way to the turnoff to Minnow Lake. From there, the climb gets steep and rocky. It’s tough to stay on the bike for some stretches, but it’s worth the effort. Once you hear the waterfall, the climbing is finished be extremely careful crossing the derelict bridge near the waterfall – watch for protruding nails, spikes, and rotten sections of wood. Once across the bridge, it’s practically all downhill back to town and it’s one of the smoothest sections of single track in Jasper.

Riding counter-clockwise means missing out on the uber-smooth descent; however, it’s likely easier to ride the entire route rather than struggling up the hike-a-bike climb near Minnow Lake.

This trail is overgrown, mud everywhere, 30 to 50 fallen trees. No pay off for the effort.

Lots of downed trees on the path. Some technical areas and hike a bike sections. If you are a downhill enthusiast might not be the hill for you. Good XC trail if you don't mind getting off your bike here and there.

Shit trail! This is not a bike trail. Fallen trees all over the trail.
