Tres Hombres is a freeride downhill trail with multiple large gap jumps and technical steep sections following a ridge down into Derby Canyon. All the jumps are optional with go arounds except for one 7 foot cliff drop which has a walk around / climb down. This trail is one of the best freeride downhill trails in the state and can be shuttled. Usually we bring two cars and park one at the bottom and drive all people and bikes to the top. Then use the first car to head to the top and pick up the other car. This trail is totally possible with an XC bike and the trail is smooth packed dirt on almost the entire trail. There is only few rocky steep sections. If you are looking for something a little more tame check out Xanadu, we usually use it as a warm up trail.

Great trail, gnarly shuttle road. Lots of good jumps and unique technical sections. Intermediate level riders will really not have fun on this trail due to the bottom half and will be very grumpy by the bottom, although it looks like there's now a trail off to the right that lets one skip all the big rock stuff entirely.
