Trilho com um começo de muita pedra solta e fixa, perto de 500 metros, depois começa o trilho de terra batida, muitas curvas e alguns saltos faceis de dar, bom para iniciantes no BTT. Dificuladade aumenta com mais velocidade. Até meio percurso, encontra umas 3 subidas ligeiras, coisa muito pequena para os riders AM ou XC, para DH se não conseguirem subir, sobem bem a pé.

Ao subir para o Pico do Areeiro, temas um pequeno planato com antenas, começa ai, se não quizer apanhar a zona de pedras, pode começar mesmo no portão norte do Chão da Lagoa. No fim, podem optar por continuar na trilha Avista Navios ou o resto do Pico Alto

       Falta algumas tabelas, manutenção, existe o perigo de pedras nas bermas do trilho escondidas pela giesta - muito perigoso em caso de queda. de resto é um trilho interessante, é pena não não ter continuidade de outras pistas.
