Tunnel Connector takes you from the Cedro riding area over to the Tunnel/Otero side of 337. The trail has seen some abuse by weather, but locals have mostly kept it up. Still, watch for some surprising dips in the trail here and there where some of it may have been washed away. If coming from the Cedro/Chamisoso side, there is a steep little loose, rocky climb with a tree go-round that can be quite challenging to complete. After this you'll head down a steep, loose and rocky descent, which could be unnerving depending on your skill level. Coming the other direction this climb is challenging because of its grade and looseness.
Otherwise the trail is fairly tame, and meanders relatively close to the highway until crossing it by means of a tunnel. There are rocks in the tunnel, but they have been set up so you can roll them, if your eyes aren't playing tricks on you because of the funky light in there. After the tunnel is a sharp right turn that takes you a very short but steep little punchy climb and you're at Tunnel.
