This is a popular Multi Use Trail (hikers, runners, cyclists) maintained by SAGE Trail Alliance (nonprofit funded by donations). This trail requires a bell to ride (provided for free at bell boxes in parking area by SAGE).

This is an extremely technical trail comprised primarily of rock gardens. An enduro or trail bike is recommended; however, this trail has been ridden on hardtail by very good riders. Always yield for uphill traffic, this is not a closed racecourse.

One of the best rock garden trails I've ridden. If you are a strong rider 150mm of travel is sufficient. Lines for days.

Rode Tunnel 7/3/19, some overgrowth but nothing too bad. Rocks are as nasty as ever.

this trail is currently somewhat overgrown and has a few pinch points where a bike just wont squeak through, regardless of skill level. the trail is not steep. it is not a double black daimond, deffinatly black diamond

I recomend being shuttled and guided by SB fit tours. I was very happy I had Pual there to show me the lines and speed needed to clean all the sections!

This trail is not for the faint of heart. Will test you mentally more than physically. Non-stop carnage the entire way down. Full Face Helmet is a must. I would only bring a DH bike to this trail after first attempting it on a trail bike. Be careful.

Tunnel Trial is a multi-use trail. Both Jesusita and Tunnel Trails are heavily used by many different groups and is a very popular hiking trail with its close proximity to downtown SB. Best ridden in the early mornings or evenings and be mindful of your speed while riding the trails.

Be sure to get a bike bell, distributed by the Santa Barbara Mountain Bike Trail Volunteers. The bells help other users on the trail be aware of mountain bikers. BikeBells can be purchased at the local bike shops or from a trail head bell box.

be sure to check out SBMTV.org for more info on SB area trails.
