Old growth ponderosa forest with ferns, meadows and lots of animals.
Many loop options associate with this trail. Most of the trail is in open areas, allowing for easy travel if there is a tree down. The trail can be hard to find in sections when the grass is tall.

      reporter There are 16 logs (24-35”) in the burn area from Horse Spring to the #153 JCT. The trail is easily lost in this area near the junctions.
