A multi use trail into the Mad Lake area. Motorcycles are the primary user and maintainers of this trail system.

Chickamin Tie starts with gentle switchbacks through the woods before opening up into 'the scree field'. This will require walking for nearly all riders. Shortly after that is the intersection with the Mad River trail and Pond Camp Tie. Chickamin Tie is an expedient route into the Mad Lake area and a great downhill coming back out.

Access Info

The area typically opens to wheeled use in mid July. Not all trails are covered by the wheeled use restriction, however it is difficult to put together good loops while it is in effect.
