This is an easy dirt trail that follows the creek along the old railroad path that took visitors to the park. Once it gets the center of the park going uphill, it turns to asphalt as it passes the picnic areas, but will go back to dirt at the upper end for about a half mile. It's an out and back trail once it passes the picnic areas, but it intersects with North Rim a couple times and also connects to other asphalt options along the way. It has lots of hikers in groups on the weekends as it's a popular and pretty trail that's very pleasant to ride.
