This forms part of what is known as the Rock Run loop north. It continues to follow the old rail road bed used in the early 1900's so there are times you will feel where the old rail road ties were removed. It is punctuated with small feeder stream crossings and short rock gardens before crossing the bridge that represents the confluence of the trails on both side you begin the slow climb back out of the valley on what was once an old rail road bed. Though it is overgrown you can still feel where the ties were once in some places still. Watch for the double blazed trees, two blue squares, this is a switchback Z before you continue on straight.
