Cross-country descent from the top of Vineyard Mountain to Lewisburg Saddle. Opens with swooping flat to off-camber turns that lead out to a view of the Soap Creek valley overlooking Nettleton and Davies roads. Past the view, the trail cuts away from the original (unauthorized) trail with a hard left and transitions to bench-cut singletrack on its way to the saddle with a little bit of sidehill exposure to the south.
Trail is a mix of natural tread singletrack with some bench cuts and mild sidehill exposure, with a short segment of gravel doubletrack (logging road spur) in the middle.
OSU has officially marked this trail as not to be ridden when travel on the trail disturbs the trail tread.
From Nettleton Rd (Road 500) take the short spur up to the top of Vineyard Mountain and then look for the trail entrance on the right. The bottom of the trail is about 50 yards inside the gates on the east side of the Saddle parking area.
