A roller coaster ride through the wooded backside of Bald Mountain, including a half mile climb to Little America Point, this trail ends during a fast, shaded descent down to Warm Springs Plaza. Return to River Run Plaza along the Wood River Trail "bike path." For a combined 22 mile cross-country loop (best ridden clockwise), connect from Cold Springs Trail, starting near St. Luke's hospital. Or lastly, take the lifts to the top of Bald Mountain for a scenic downhill-only ride. Be advised of the occasional hiker or uphill rider as you near the bottom of the trail, particularly in the late afternoon. This trail is not patrolled or swept-use at your own risk. The Upper portion of Warm Springs trail from our Traverse trail to Broadway trail is closed every year for elk calving per Forest Service regulation until July 1st when it opens to the public.

      Did this up and down on 9/29/21. Nice climb on the way up and stupid fun on the way down. A bit loose, but awesome flow and natty chunder. Do it!

      This is only a black trail if one rides it uphill, and does so coming straight from sea level. There is nothing black about it. No steep sections, nothing technical. I found it rather dull because of the amount of shale and scree over the top 2/3.
