Very dry today and no bears or signs of beers. This trail should really be a green. I'll make the changes when I get back to a computer but if...

Trail is officially closed at water tower, by Parks Canada, due to whirling disease, cutting off 1.7km segment to Johnson Lake.

Large tree down across trail, blocking trail. Some people have built a ramp which I don't recommend people use, it's very unstable.

Rode today in pretty thick smoke. All is very dry. Ramp over the downed tree is still there. Started at Cascade ponds. The initial ascent is really steep and loose. Definitely not green material. Once you gain the ridge, though, it becomes a solid green trail. Not sure the elevation profile is accurate. The posted profile shows a steep up right at the beginning at the Cascade Ponds end followed by a steep down. This steep down doesn't seem to exist. Overall, decent trail with a lovely lake to jump into at the end.
