Waterbar World is a trail that was probably created by dirt bikes but doesn't get a lot of use by mt bikes or dirt bikes these days. Having said that, it's still an enjoyable trail that's worth the effort to get to. It's generally ridden downhill but it wouldn't be terrible to climb. The route on the GPX starts from the top of the paved road (Number Two Canyon) and climbs about 1.5 miles to the start of the actual downhill. You could drive all the way to the trailhead with a moderately adequate vehicle. If you were going to drive up, I would recommend parking at the saddle about 1/3 mile below the start of the downhill because you'll be climbing right back to there.

The descent is fast but has a few short uphills, some patches of sand and probably a tree or two over the trail given the lack of maintenance. But you get a good sense of being "out there" as you most likely won't see a soul. At the bottom of the trail there is a tricky left turn that can be sandy and rocky but then you get spit out onto Mission Creek Road. From there you could turn right and go to the bottom of Devil's Gulch or left and head to the top. If you go left, stay on the main road, which becomes Peavine Canyon. If you want to get back to your car, don't go right on the trail that heads up to Mission Ridge/Devil's Gulch.

The climb up Peavine Canyon starts out nice in the trees at a gradual slope but then it gets into the open and the stair stepping starts. There are 13 stair steps in the road where you climb a steep section for 30 yards, then it flattens out. Then short and steep again. If it's hot, this part can be brutal but eventually you'll get back to your car at the saddle or have a nice dash down to the top of the paved road.

Either start riding at the top of Number Two Canyon Road where the pavement ends or continue on the dirt another 1.5 miles to the saddle or the actual trail head.
