Simply a gravel road. It stinks but gets you where you are going.

10/13/18 6 pm Breathtaking views of Snowbasin (SB) ski resort from East Fork Trail and from the Green Pond trailhead. I rode the East Fork to Wheeler Canyon 10 mile loop.

Good conditions on this East Fork trail and the Wheeler Canyon trail. Green Pond and other trails in the SB area were wet.

A few minutes after I got on the East Fork trail, I had to stop because of a big tree branch (please see picture) that fell on the East Fork trail; I had to get off my bike and raise it up on a wheelie to get passed this obstacle. I did this twice: on my way to Wheeler Canyon and on my way back to Green Pond trailhead.

I had so much fun, even though it was 45F to 50F… (1) Wheeler Canyon downhill was surreal, with lots of happy hikers smiling, and zero snow. (2) East Fork coming back offered me “live postcards” of my surroundings that are engraved in my heart.

Warning! ... A few minutes after leaving Green Pond trailhead, I had to stop because of a big tree branch that fell on the East Fork trail (please see picture); I had to get off my bike and raise it up on a wheelie to get passed this obstacle. I did this twice: on my way to Wheeler Canyon and on my way back to Green Pond trailhead.
