Nearly 3-mile gravel road that breaks off the main paved climbing road and climbs up onto the upper ridge line of the trail system. Climb is difficult at the start and at the finish, with moderate slopes in the middle as it traverses a saddle between two peaks along the ridge line. Hints of open sky to the north along that saddle section with views heavily filtered by trees.

Gravel grind. For climbing to Whistlepunk, you would be much better of climbing the paved Fall access rd and the Gutrobber.
