White Earth Creek Details
Out and back X-country trail starting in Long Lake Provincial Park. Double track dirt trail weaves over and around heavily treed hills following long lake. Has wide flowy curves and constantly transitions from climbing to downhill. Trail is occasionally used by ATVs so can be quite uneven in places. Contains 2 notably larger hills that present hard climbs and quick descents. Generally a low-traffic trail and with that maintenance is not 100%, so expect the odd fallen tree across the trail. End point is a hilltop viewpoint that offers a nice view of the valley (especially in spring or fall when the leaves aren't grown in) the trail beyond is ridable but is much more rugged and unmaintained Goes through some beautiful bush and offers wildlife viewing opportunities. (bear bells and bear spray recommended)
Trailhead can be accessed via the Long Lake campground where a small parking lot is offered at the end of the main paved road at the gate to the trail. A large sign is there highlighting the branches of the trail. (locked gate at top of trail is there to keep out ATVs have to lift bike over it)
