I've kept this trail off of Trailforks on purpose for years. Mostly because it is packed with hikers, and is a bit of a wide and steep trail. But it has recently come under fire as becoming off-limits to bikes. It may not stay here for long.

Very dry and dusty!

Good conditions, but rutted in a few spots where thunderstorm runoff occurred.

Rocky climb, but I wouldn’t label it a double black. It can be steep in a couple spots. Took about 2 hours to climb for a 20 minute descending...

It should stay legal (I wish). Almost nobody rides it. It's a good ride in early Winter on the fattie before the pack gets deep.

I'm putting this on my 'to-ride' list just in case it becomes wilderness and illegal for MTB.

If you ride conservatively going down and are nice and cheerful, the hikers don't seem to mind. Please do so so it'll stay open to bikes. It will never be a popular ride, but it's something I'll do a couple times a year as it's spectacularly pretty up there.

Not a bad ride. Pretty much double track the entire way. I would label it a Black not a double black trail.

I always thought this was wilderness, but you can see on the map that it's outside the boundary.
