I agree with Dirt-surfer, it is a difficult climb with several hike-a-bike sections. It is better to take the road up. Lots of loose shale rock. Very dry.

Make sure to pedal up the road and ride down but its in great shape with some fun flow and serious tech!

The trail is pretty much garbage to climb, but it's fast and rowdy downhill and that's where you want this trail to be ridden! Views from the top are great but don't get here after rains, gigantic bomb holes hold water for a long time. Lots of hiking and moto riders use it so surprisingly it's in great shape! A couple sniper drops and natural gaps make it a fun descent, plus it's nearly 4 miles long at a good grade so it's worth the quick pedal up!
